Overall I thought this movie was good! Jennifer Garner is one of the reasons why this movie is good. She does a great job of presenting a cold, darker version of Elektra . Her performance to me was not flawed in any manner! In fact the cast overall was pretty decent, although i would have liked to have seen some of the villians hang around a lil longer before getting axed! The story was very oringinal, and did keep my attention!For me,the thing that kept this movie from being perfect was the inability of the director to somehow make this film flow. The beginning was good, but at times it was kinda over done and slow because of pointless dialougue
and scenes where nothing is really going on.For example when Elektra is trying to wait and see who she suppose to kill in the beginning,There were to manny scenes with her waiting around do various things that seemed pointless. I really dont think the fight scenes were shot all that great only because they were shot up close. Finally I feel that Elektra (like Daredevil and Punisher) is one of those characters that only a fans of the comic(or the movie Daredevil) can appreciate only because they lack a general appeal of other super heros like Spidey or the X-Men. Because of that I think its very important that I think that Marvel Films should make sure that the actors and directors they choose to use in their movies are capable to bring these characters to the silver screen in the right way. In Elektra's case the acting was good, but the editing and direction could be a little better. But overall I liked it!!!!!! |
