All right, folks. Before I tell ya what I think, I must make a point that I'm not a huge fan of the horror genre. I've never really been driven to watch a blood and gore bath. But there was something about this movie that just pulled me in to see it. And let me tell you right now, it is worht it! The first 10 minutes of the movie grab you in a sense that is both frightening and heart pounding. You open on one of the main characters, Ana. She's just getting off an hour late from work at her nursing job, avoiding having to deal with a patient whose suffered a rather serious bite... That night she spends with her husband, happy and in love. But at dawn, at 6:47 in the morning, the door creaks open and in the door is the shape of a little girl...
From then on, it is a heart pounding thriller with a nice dash of humor here and there. One thing I found interesting about this movie is how much of a trip it is. The entire concept of the movie is Hell on Earth, and it just makes you wonder, "Is it possible?" My hope is that people who go to see this movie will not only be scared and have a fun time, I also hope that it makes them appreciate what and above all, who they have in their life. Remember. People do not have to turn into zombies to rip you apart... |
