I went to see Raise Your Voice expecting another Hillary Duff fluffy, fun, "'tween style" movie...what I got was a dramatic movie with many touching moments...believable and engaging, this movie brought me to tears several times, and left me feeling great! Hillary Duff is absolutely luminous in her role as Terri Fletcher, and the supporting cast turn in awesome performances. I can't understand the bad press this movie is getting...Hillary is wonderful in this movie and shines like a true movie star...she has grown far and beyond the "bubble gum princess" roles she has been associated with. This young lady is growing into a formidable talent, and I expect great things from her in the future. :) |
