I just got back from "Raise your Voice" and I must say it surpassed my expectations! Hilary gives a great performance, and her most memorable to date!
I love music and want to be more involved with it as well, so it was great to see this movie and what's its like at a music school. It wasn't a saccharine, fluffy movie that totally took away the element of "realness" to it. It was very to the point and really emotional at times.
My only complaint is some corny lines that didn't fit in (but every movie has them, right?), and the choppy editing in the beginning. Seemed like they were trying to rush the beginning. But apart from those minor flaws, I loved it! Go watch this movie! |
