Movie-schmoovie! Anne Hathaway shows thong, butt-cleavage and nipple! Throw Bijou Phillips into the mix and you're ready for some quality "alone time" (just remember to lock your doors). The plot of "Havoc" is reminiscent of controversial director Larry Clark's films like "Kids" and "Bully". All three are cautionary tales about adolescents leading empty lives who seem left to their own devices in a teenage wasteland where sex and drugs provide the aimless with only temporary relief from their habitual boredom. While "Havoc" succeeds in emulating Larry Clark's special brand of lurid voyeurism, it ultimately fails to deliver the same compelling drama that lets Clark get away with some of his more questionable indulgences. But will the average male viewer care about high art once the former Miss "Princess Diaries" shows us she can simulate onscreen fellatio with the best of them? I don't think so. |
