As a high school World History teacher I generally show this movie to my classes when studying the Persian Wars. It is a great version of the battle of Thermopylae. However, use caution this movie is FULL of inaccuracies! One glaring inaccuracy is that it portrays Spartans as family men, which lets just suffice to say they were not. I generally show this movie after studying the Spartans and have students pick out and explain the inaccuracies. It is still a good movie...great learing tool! |
