June 16, 1959. The glamour of Tinseltown permanently fades for actor George Reeves, the heroic Man of Steel on TV's "Adventures of Superman," as the actor dies in his Hollywood Hills home. Felled by a single gunshot wound, Reeves leaves behind a fiancée--aspiring starlet Leonore Lemmon--and millions of fans who are shocked by his death. The cast was extordinary and awesome. Adrien Brody has done it again, like in the Pianist. Daine Lane's performance was strong as well, but George Reeves, played by Ben Affleck, was the role that surprised me a lot. I mean Ben Affleck isn't much of a good actor, but he surprised me with this role. It is a great film, and one of the best pictures, and it's should diserve some oscar nomination. This is an outstanding movie about the mystery of George Reeves death. Out of 5, it's a 5. |
