Paparazzi wants the viewer to sympathize with the main character(Cole Hauser's Bob Laramie) but by the end of the film you actually end up hating the man. I would have given this film a higher grade had it not been for the ridiculous ending. The best feature of this film is the character played by Tom Sizemore. Sizemore for years has played character roles near perfection and continues this trend in Paparazzi. Some words of advice: dont take this film seriously(like some drama-queen of a photographer already has)...you dont hear this enough but here goes...THIS IS A FICTICIOUS FILM; its not the greatest of films and it knows this but it has some damn entertaining, although outlandish at times, action sequences. So if you're in the mood for some action go see Paparazzi or if you truly feel sorry for photographers who chase down celebrities for a living email a "get well soon" card to the poor guy several messages ago. |
