Well if you want a critic's review then go to Ebert's page. But if you want a genuine college student's opinion then read on:
If you walked into the theater thinking you were going to get a cute storyline or clever humor then you might as well ask for a refund. This movie was hands down hilarious! The humor is a mix between a David Zucker film (Naked Gun, Airplane) and a clever humor Vince Vaugn film (Wedding Crashers, Old School) put them together and you get a Happy Madison film. The difference between this Happy Madison film and the other HM films (the hot chick, decue biggalow 1, anger management)is this one is R-rated and for good reason. The sexual humor and nudity in this film is throughout the whole movie and is absolutely painfully funny.
Every single person in the theater (including the old lady sitting next to me) was laughing the entire time. Don't expect a plot that is going to win any awards, but hey, who cares! It makes you laugh and that's all I was after.
Overall, the consistent sexual humor, nudity, ripping on american-european relationships, and brief cameos made this sequel WELL WORTH the outrageous price theaters charge. In fact i'm going to go see it again when I get back to school. |
