its a great movie. The 1980 Olympic hockey team has sort of a romantic nostalgia and rightfully so. Many people didn't know anything about hockey and didn't care (most still don't), but the 1980 team put hockey in the general consciousness of the American public. Kurt Russell does a great job as Herb Brooks, even if you don't know hockey or don't like it, you'll like the movie. People who hate America will no doubt bash the movie because its easy to pretend you're intellectual by bashing America, but those people have their own issues. The movie is good. |
