This is what Olympic hockey should be. As Herb Brooks pointed out at the end we now have NHL players in the olympics so this type of thing can't happen ever again. Who is going to get excited about a team with Brett Hull beating a team with Sergie Federov? We can see it all through the regular NHL season.
If you were alive when this happened it will bring back special memories. It will also let you see the struggle that went on behind the scenes of this great story. It is a truely inspiring movie, and if you were alive and a hockey fan when it happened it is a great trip down memory lane. If you have kids that weren't alive in 1980 then take them to see it so they can experience the thrill of that victory too. |
