I do not want to sound like those people who come on and destroy every movie. I love these directors and i love the actors so i went to the movie hopeful, what i got was a comedy that made me laugh like twice. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of jokes in the movie. Matt Damon's role is generic and anyone could have done it, Greg Kinnear was given a lot more to do and generally was more fun to watch. The movie became very boring and long the directors didn't seem to know what to do for two hours. I desperatley wanted to like this movie but sadly couldn't, Cher was pretty good for the first five minutes then seemes to turn into a desperate joke. These directors wanted to go the sappy emotional route a la Shallow Hal (which i liked by the way)i miss those envelope pushing R rated gags that made therm so creative but alas Hollywood has gotten to them. The ending is so desperate in trying to finish the movie on a high note it's sad. Know what's even sadder though? i'm going to watch the next Farrelly Brothers movie. Oh Whoa is me! |
