The director actor team that shined in the 1998 crime thriller Croupier are back with a classic revenge story. Owen is perfect as the brooding vengeful brother.
Fans of british crime films will recognize many character actors from other productions. Some of the other actors and characters are a bit two dimensional, and their motives are a bit oblique, but overall Clive Owen is the center of this film's universe.
The pacing is slow, but I never felt it was boring.
Croupier was a better film, but fans of noir should not miss this small stylish outing. |
