Actually had passes for the sneak preview a few weeks back, so I dragged my roommates out to see it.
Yeah, some of the major plot points are easy to figure out, however, the story itself is very sweet, and the old codgers (whom most folks seemed to hate) are amusing in their crotchetyness.
The scenes set in the past are very amusing, and I had no problems getting drawn in, particularly since the romance aspects are very close to situations I've lived through. (OK, maybe not quite as dramatic, however, the emotions are very similar.)
Also, as my male roommate said walking out, if you don't cry at the end, you have no soul. |
