This was one of the worst movies I have ever taken my child to see.
Dad needs $250 thousand dollars for an operation. The big bad insurance company won't cover it. The ingenious pre-teen decides she will put her 12 year old brain to good use by carrying out a completely unrealistic bank robbery along with her 2 friends. Nothing about this premise was entertaining or believeable- just typical kids-can-do- anything-better-than-adults baloney.
So we learn how stealing is OK if the motives are good (after all, the bank president WAS a mean boss to the mommy figure!) That should cost him $250 thousand!
Jennifer Beals is WAY overrated, and evident by this performance- brooding, moody, and sarcastic- who could ask more of a 12 year old? Glad I took my son to see this- hopefully he learned some great driving maneuvers if the cops are ever chasing HIM on his go cart! Surprised nobody got shot here- which would have made plainly obvious the attempt at copying the Fast and the Furious in PG format(it already steals from Spy Kids and Cody Banks).
You don't have to spend $9 a pop to see what you can already see on DVD- which was why we both figured out the ending to halfway through the movie.
