Effective Enough For A Mainstream Audience

The critics love to come down hard on movies that could have been a little better. They blow the the smallest quirks of a film to the biggest proportion so they can keep their jobs and not give every film a good review. This movie, albeit imperfect, is still good enough to scare the bejeezus out of you. When you go home, especially at night, you'll remember the feelings of suspense you had during the show, and they will somewhat "haunt" you. If the creators of the film would have dived deeper into a true psychological thriller rather than a more paranormal side, they would have been more successful to avoid a kind of cheesiness. But, with all the cheese in movies anyway, this movie is decent enough for one viewing at least. Give it a go. |
