HONEY is a nice, old-style, good versus bad, "hard-work-will-get-you-there", moral movie that's set to a killer soundtrack and has some awesome visuals. The movie is perfect for anyone who likes to watch music videos, Jessica Alba, Mekhi, hip-hop, dancing, or good R&B. I was surprised to find that the movie is the perfect family movie. No, this movie is not out there to win awards, it's just out there to entertain. The acting is not the best, but it's Jessica's face and the music that are the stars in the film.
Who knew that Jessica Alba had all of that in her?! The young lady is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood. Her acting was better in the TV series "Dark Angel". In HONEY, they featured her more as "eye candy". Okay, it worked on me. Lil' Romeo could use some acting and dance lessons. The cameos by major artists were great. Also, don't leave when the credits start - they end the movie with an awesome music video by Blacque that was choreographed by HONEY. |
