Okay, I haven't seen this movie, or even the trailer, so I probably shouldn't be writing this, but i know what this movie is about, if that counts. Anyway, I'm glad everybody else that has written reviews on here was such a great child. They all claim that this story is not what a normal 13 year old goes through. But, I have to argue. I am 14 years old, and last year I was a straight-A student, with lots of friends, and I went to a small K-8 public school in rural North Carolina. My best friend started smoking at the age of 12 and ended up drinking, doing marijuana, cocaine, popping pills, and having sex with a 23 year old man all before her 14th birthday. She slit her wrists on a regular basis, and even tried to kill herself. Her behavior was not uncommon in my school at all, everybody was at least a little bit like that. Our graduating class of 65 had 7 virgins in it. So maybe not all 13 year olds do the things that you are mentioning, but more of them do than most people think. |
