In the typical comedy genre, this movie doesn't really fit it, but in this case, that is a good thing. The humor of this movie is very dry, and often quirky. It almost reminded me of 'Anything Else' except this film was good. The plot is a little thicker than the average comedy, so I would be more apt to title this film as a drama. Truth be told, the whole story line runs a bit slow, but it is probably applicable to alot of family resumes in the sence of a reality check. By the end of the movie, you appreciate the effort that April puts into her family and in turn, you get a minute idea to actually speak to your own dysfunctional family. If you have experienced family drama, and dysfunction in the least, than you will more than likely enjoy this mello-drama family fest of incoherence. |
