Simple, sincere, and very funny. Unlike other movies that use people of short stature as a oddity or a joke, this movie actually shows how everyone BUT the main character is either strange or cruel and in need of help. Nevertheless, the film doesn't allow its serious moments to detract from its sense of humor. In an age of CGI and fast-paced explosions of action and activity, "The Station Agent" relies on good old-fashioned cinematography, screenwriting, and acting. By the way, in addition to the story and acting, the visuals and musical score are top-notch as well. Definitely worth seeing! |
