It's just that good and that touching. This movie by far is the best movie out this year. I never write movie reviews but I felt as if I would be doing this movie an injustice if I didn't. The final battle scene tugs the heart, appeals to the senses, and makes you believe in with your whole heart what the Samurai's believed in. Courage and honor.

Tom Cruise was a good fit for the role as a drunken captain who is trying to escape a nightmare of a past and does so by helping the last group of Samuraii against the imperialist Japanese soldiers.

Ken Watanabe as Katsumoto was just amazing! His facial expressions, his calm composure, and his overall ambience captured the whole movie. He alone is worth watching the movie for.

I only have one word for the battle scenes: breathtaking! It moved my heart to tears. The director of this movie Edward Zwick also directed Legend of the Falls and Glory so there were many styles that were similar to those movies.

The only problem is that once it's over, you'll reenter your life wondering why can't I be a samuraii and die for a cause as honorable as they did.
