"Stupid comedies are tolerable when written appropriately. Dumb and Dumber and (I may be harassed for this one) the under appreciated Dude, Where's My Car? demonstrated that technique. They did not cram idiotic jokes down our throats and expect us not to gag. Come on, melting a Hershey's chocolate bar in a bathroom, trying to make us believe its runny poop, then show what the real mess is after he sniffs and licks his hand? How sad is that?
