I saw this movie and was absolutely enchanted by it. It shows so many different varieties of birds on different continents and manages to portray some very moving images while capturing a profound sincerity of the creatures seen in the film. Critics say it's too long needed better editing and what not, but it's not a thrill seeking movie. It's a movie that presents from beginning to end a witness of migrating birds. I was actually dissapointed there wasn't more footage of each bird. I would have loved to see just one species make it all the way and back, I think it's wonderful gift that so many different ones are shown. I think it'd be a loss to overlook this movie simply because a critic gave it a C. I'd like to see him direct a similar piece with as much success. |
