Overall this was a very good supernatural suspense piece. Many of the discussions were thought provoking. The antogonist blured the normal images of a villian. In many ways he could not be considered a "bad guy" in the everyday sense but, at the same time he was truly evil. The mood of the movie was well crafted and the visual effects were interesting.
That being said there are problems. The film is continiously slow paced and could use a few faster paced scenes just to keep the audience from getting too comfortable. The Peter Weller charecter was poorly defined. The primary flaw is that the film seemed choppy in several places. All of the problems seem to be the result of poor editing. The film is barely a hour and a half long so there was plenty of time to expand the scenes and show in a little more detail how A leads to B. The film has great potential but fell short of realising it. |
