Enjoyable, but the magic's gone!

I absolutely adore the first movie...but when i saw the trailer of the 2nd one i decided not to get my hopes up too much cuz the trailer didn't seem that promissing. And i was right. The movie is cute, funny at times, sweet, pink,...Reese is absolutely great as Elle, how can you not love her? Yet, something is missing. The problem is the story: it's exactly the same as the first one (well, you know what i mean...same idea). Some jokes are recycled without any shame. Now i had hoped they would go for something a bit more different...But they didn't. I'm just so glad Reese made this movie enjoyable, she's the perfect 'Elle Woods'! Now let's just hope there won't be a 3rd one unless they come up with something fresh & new. I do recommend this movie, but wait until it comes out on VHS & DVD. You don't need to see it on the Big Screen. |
