Although a true story, a bit of the movie was far-fetched. Most notably the picture that blows onto the windshield is an example that comes to mind. I did find it important that the movie only cover a short time frame as opposed to the much longer period covered in the book due to the difficulty of conveying the passage of time in a movie (multiple actors, changes in time period scenery, culture, etc..). I liked the story itself enough to want to read the book, I just thought the direction of the film could have been fine tuned a bit more for a cleaner presentation. |
