This is a story of a self indugent, self absorbed woman wallowing in grief married to an alcoholic guy who though successful has problems relating to woman. Neither character is particularly likable. The woman abandons her kid, her husband and steals all the family photographs because she does not believe she will be a good mother. Did you ever hear of therapy? Apparently not. She has an affair with a boy half her age. And has no qualms about having sex in front of her five year old daughter with the teen-ager. Yes, she went through a bad time, but how many havve been spared this?? It is how one responds to adversity that shows one's true charater and the folks in this film all come up lame. This is a film that makes you wonder why anyone would make it and how anyone could like it. |
