If you have high hopes then this movie delivers! I think this is the best comedy of the summer. The characters stay true to themselves and that is what makes this film work so well. If you are a fan of the previous two American pie movies you will love this one. It is a must see comedy as long as you are not the type of person who thinks that raunchy sex comedy movies are distasteful. As for me I'll take a mouthful! Just like the previous films Stifler is the highlight of most of the foul mouthed, crude, and extremely laughable scenes that will just make you shake your head. If I were you don't be late to this movie, the opening scene is one of the funniest scenes in the movie! One of the reasons I like this movie better than the second is that everyone played their parts well and had a purpose that fit into the whole rhythm of the movie. I must say I am glad that Chris Klein and Mena Suvari were not in this movie because their characters would not have had any purpose in this film (I think their roles in the second movie did not have a purpose as well). For those of you that are looking for those two or three scenes that will be unforgettable, you won't be disappointed. I think Eugene Levy brought this movie up a notch with his comedic ability to shine (something that the previous two films did not have enough of). I would be sad to see this be the last film of the series but if it was this movie does end with a feeling of closure. But I would be more disappointed if they made another sequel with a horrible script just so they could make more money off the fans of the franchise. All in all this was a great film and worthy of top spot comedy of the summer. A definite must see! |
