A complex and meaningful tale about the cycle of life and death.

Tommy is struggling with his wife Izzi's impending death. And grows more distressed with her growing calm about her own fate. Struggling to understand her lack of fear he begins to read the story she's been writing -The Fountain.

Starting with a Spanish Conquistador trying to save his queen and country by finding the tree of life. And ending with a man traveling through space to bring this tree to the light of a dying star.

Looking deeply at why all things must die in order for new life to be born. This movie deals with the very difficult fact, that all must one day die. But helps show how this can be a deeply peaceful realization once we have come to terms with our own mortality.

The movie itself does move around alot. Almost frantic at times. I think a reflection of Darren Aronofsky's own search for answer's to why we exist. If you let go of normal movie structure and enjoy the vast visual feast this movie has to offer I think you'll like this movie too.

Watch the preview, see if it looks good, then go see it. Not everyone will understand this movie. I'm still trying to. -enjoy
