When I first saw the film I fell in love. It said all the things I wanted to hear about how horrible America is and how pathetic our culture has become... then, I started discussing it with friends. Well, turns out about 50% of the various statistics he used were 100% false, entire portions and scenes from the film were intentionally left out as to paint a most negative picture... etc. Much controversy arose after its Oscar, and rightfully so. This won an award as a documentary, when it was more mockumentary. The truth was completely ruled out and more 'convenient' truths were put in their place. Shame on you Michael Moore. |
