Trailers mislead you, no Supernatural Thriller

The movie trailers are more scary than the movie. They show all the best parts in the trailer (as usual). One clip in the trailer shows Sharon Stone getting out of bed and her sheets moving on there own behind her - which made me think of a ghost when viewing the trailer. When you see the movie, you find out it's a snake under the sheets - nice deceit, huh?
Criticism of the movie is as follows:
1. Takes and hour and half where nothing really happens. The murder mystery has very few clues and really entirely develops in like 5 minutes in the last half hour of the movie. Terrible screenwriting and directing.
2. Silly mismanagement of plot - plotlines thrown in that have little to do with anything and that are never followed up.
3. Too similar to a ton of other movies. Even the "Devil's Throat" (a well) reminds you of "The Ring". When Sharon Stone gets pushed into the well (which everyone in the movie and in the bathroom knew was going to happen), I half expected a little girl with black hair to grab her from under the water!
4. I think most people went thinking they were seeing a Supernatural Thriller - shame on Buena Vista Pictures! I am on to them now.
When doing my User Review for Cabin Fever, I ripped it to shreds. I have to say that Cabin Fever is more entertaining this piece of junk. This is slow developing, terribly written, boring, and predictable. Don't waste your money!
I haven't been this excited to see a movie a long while, based on the trailers, and I feel totally deceived, on purpose mind you, by Buena Vista Pictures. |
