I really liked Hellraiser 1 and 2. Then 3 and 4 weren't so hot. But this...
It had almost nothing to do with Pinhead or Kristy. It was all about Trevor, Kristy's cheating husband. They took the whole movie to tell us what was going on, and then it wasn't that interesting. It was a cop-out, Deus Ex Machina ending. Hackneyed.
I thought with all the mystery and confusion of the movie they would tie it together with a super surprising ending. But the idea you get on minute five of what the ending will probably be is what it is.
And it makes Kristy look like she is a murderer in with the Cenobites. I know there is one more in the series, and I hope it is on par with 1 and 2. At least they can't get much worse. |
