being in a bike club myself i understand pretty well what the movie was tryin to do, but appearently i dont think that the critics above knew what the hell was goin on. They were tryin to tell a story about what goes on in the night time sub-culture bike racing. And the story line itself was derived from the life of the real "king of Cali" and the lives of the bike clubs themselves. It wasnt tryin to beat or even compete with fast and the furious so why does everyone keep comparing it to that. And if you have ever riden a bike before, u might be able to understand the passion behind what the actors were portraying. The thrill on becoming top dog, and the fear of being dethrowned, son and father going head to head. So remember if your going to see this movie just remember its a story based on a real mans life bit about, "livin your life a quarter mile at a time." |
