I am an avid movie-goer, and am often disappointed with the mindless brain-candy churned out by Hollywood these days. Despite this, I have seen many GOOD movies in my life, but only a handful of GREAT movies. This is one of the GREAT ones! It has been a few years since I have seen a movie as good as this one. I needed this. It has been too long since I've seen a film that was excellent in every way.
Open Range is a stunning masterpiece. Great acting, gorgeous scenery/cinematography, realistic characters and awesome action.
I don't want to say any more for fear of being a "spoiler".
