Finding Neverland is a superb juxtaposition of a truly tragic tale and a whimsically elating fantasy. Depp is masterful in his rendering of a playwrite looking for inspiration. Winslet is her usual solid self. The children steal this movie, a moving portrayal balancing childlike innocence and the deepest depths of utter sadness. I found myself fighting back tears, yet walked away from the movie, not depressed, but uplifted. No movie should leave you feeling sad at the end the event, there is enough sadness in life. This movie tells a terrible tale without leaving us lost or despondent at the end. An Oscar caliber movie with an Oscar caliber lead performance. This is a must see movie. Every audience has stood up and clapped at the end of this amazing story. Enjoy!!! |
