Don't Dodge Roger Dodger!

I remember hearing something about this film when it came out in 2002. There was not a single part of me that wanted to see it, and no part in my brain that ever thought i would. But curiosity once again got the best of me when i was looking for a movie to watch on Showtime On Demand. Was i happy i gave it a shot! Now i am reccomending it to everyone i know. It starts off like many movies, with a disscussion around a table at a diner. The dialogue here was great, and i didnt expect it to stay so fresh throughout the entire film. Once again, my thoughts were dashed...this is easily one of the best scripts to be put on the screen. Roger is just that kind of character that you look at in disgust, but cant get enough of and his dialogue makes him one of my favorite characters in any movie to date. Hes so complex that if you decide to think below the surface, there is a lot there to be explored. Kidd, made his directorial debut in the film, and i cant think of him doing a better job. I reccomend that you rent this movie, as no matter how many negative thoughts you may have toward it, they are sure to be killed when you give it a chance! |
