This ia a great film for Family viewing, especially families with young teens. A rarity in Hollywood these days. The film has a nice balance of humor, action, and special effects. The storyline, while a bit far-fetched (kids as ahgents), comes together in a very entertaining manner. It is just the type of fantasy that many of us have had as teens and that is what makes this film so engaging. The humor kept us all laughing for the entire film. Rent this and watch it with the entire family, it's worth it.
BTW, never take what a professional film critic says about a film as the full truth. The real truth is that the film critics are all paid by the studios and therefore have a certain bias in their reviews. It is rare for a critic to give a review on a film that I agree with. Usually what they like in reality is rejected by the filmgoing public. And what the professional critics don't like is more often than not exactly what the filmgoing public finds entertaining. Something to keep in mind when using critics reviews for choosing a show to watch! |
