Like the previous dude said, Pac had an incredible, yet turbulent, life story, but the execution could have been a lot better.
Personally one of the biggest problems with the film is that it only a few of his songs were played.....even though he is known primarily for his music.Unfortunately, there were many songs i.e. "how do you want it?" "I ain't mad at ya" that weren't played, and they were his biggest hits. They also didn't mention "Gang related" which was his last movie--released after his death.
There was also a lot of stuff left out. Instead they played too much of the stuff I've already seen on MTV-- i.e. MTV awards with Suge criticizing Puffy....etc.
Also it seemed like it was rushed and all the stuff seemed haphazardly thrown together. The direction could have been a lot better as well. The ending was definitely rushed.
I would have preferred they release it a couple of months from now if that meant they would spend more time to make the movie smoother and more complete.
Tupac was a super-legend (one of my idols), but the film didn't do a good enough job of portraying him as such. He was such a multifaceted man who should be deified.
Overall, it was a decent film, but it didn't quite do this amazing man justice. |
