A great movie that most people won't appreciate...

This movie reminds me of both the "Sphere" and of "Vanilla Sky." It reminds me of the "Sphere" because you have some unexplained phenomenon attempted to be explained by a psychologist. And it reminds me of "Vanilla Sky" because most people hated that movie because it was too difficult to follow. Like "Vanilla Sky" (and "Sphere") this is a thinking man's movie. There's a lot of psychology going on as well. It's a movie about regret and 2nd chances and like "Vanilla Sky" there's sort of a creepy feel to it as well, where you are not quite sure if what you are seeing is real, a dream, a fantasy, etc. But like "Vanilla Sky" this movie too ends on a positive note.
The visual imagery in the movie is great and the acting is strong and believable.
If you liked "Vanilla Sky" or "Sphere" you'll like this one, too. If not, you can always rent "Die Hard with a Vengeance" or "Rambo!" |
