First...to the produces. Thanks for sticking with Soderbergh and his vision. One of today's most gifted story tellers. This pitcure will stand the test of time and untimately be recognised as a true work of art. Second...to Soderbergh. Rarely have my emotions been challenged by a release such as Solaris. I wish there was more of this in today's movies. Unfortunately, I feel the majority of today's movie goer$$ don't want to or will not let themselves invest that level of personal reflection into a movie. Your adaptation of Lem's story was well crafted and delivered me to the same emotion as Mr. Lem. Well done. And to the Actors....Davies, Davis and especialy Clooney delivered portrails beyond what I have seen of them before. All performances were well done. Finally...to the public. This is Sci-fi, but not action acton adventure. Rarely are those two aspects seperated in a wide release. Be prepared to be provoked in an inlightening way. Don't expect to be adrinalized (this means leave your 3-d glasses at home). I left the viewing challenging my own perceptions with questions....life, death, god, love, regret. I was emotionaly deliverd to a place that few movies have been able to do. Peace. |
