I first saw this movie on Comedy Central, and it is pretty funny. Being called a "Jew-exploitation" movie, Adam Goldberg plays a Jewish private eye who has to save Hanukkah from the evil new Santa (Andy Dick) who wishes to get rid of the Jewish holiday forever. There are very funny scenes, like a scene where HH and a pretty undercover agent (Judy Greer) go to see Santa. And I think it's cool that they showed the movie first on TV, then in theaters, rather than vice-versa. The Jewish jokes lose their steam sometimes, but I overall enjoyed The Hebrew Hammer. |
