The Sting... it is not

This movie was very good. It's characters are actually likeable and their quirkeyness is not unbelieveable at all. Though I don't think you can compare it to the Sting at all. And by comparing it to that movie you give away certain elements of the plot that are, well, crutial. This movie stands on it's own and doesn't need that kind of scrutiny or comparison.
Sam Rockwell is probably the next James Dean or Marlon Brando. Even in bad movies, "Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" and "Charlie's Angels" his performances are stand out and believable in unreal circumstances. And Alison Lohman is a real actress, stunning portrayal (grown-ups play kids better than kids play kids). Nick Cage not as good as his turn in Leaving Las Vegas, but proves he's not just Coppola's nephew, but a deserved and talented actor. Supporting cast is excellent.
