Not worth seeing.

Sorry but I would not recommend seeing this movie as it goes totally one hundred percent against, against THE BOOK itself. In Walter Farley's book 'The Young Black Stallion', there is no girl who rides the Black or as she named him Shetan, he is named that by his original owner Abu Ishak. Where is the rogue tribe who kidnapped him in the first place? Where is the boy who the rogue tribe threw aside as he made an error in capturing the black colt?
This race at the end of the movie is a direct copy from second movie, The Black Stallion Returns. In the book, there is no such race, there is a race for survival done by the young boy and Shetan, but there was no race and no girl who rode Shetan.
I would rather sit in a chair and read the book then see this movie. |
