Terrifying!!Horror at it's best

I had been looking forward to wrong turn for some time now, right after the trailer was first released on the internet. If the trailer scared me so much, i knew that the film would be even scarier. And it was. 6 friends had their tyers torn by some barbed-wire and are forced to stop their car. Meanwhile, a man, Chris Flynn is running late for a very important meeting, so he stops at a gas station and finds out that there is a road off of the blocked-up highway that will be a quicker rout to his destination. He continues to drive down the road, crashing into the others car and therefore wrecking both cars. All the friends soon realise that someone has set this up and meant to ruin their cars, or somehow stop them on their route. Two of the friends decide to stay, while the other four go to look for a phone or help, sure enough they stumble over the home of 3 canabalistic mountain men. The mountain men in this movie are possibly the scariest thing i have seen yet. Wrong Turn does a fabulous job of building up all the tension with the great, unsettling score, and the great performances from each of the cast members. Blood and gore are not short of in this film, we get all sorts of decapitations, mutilations and impalings going on which is more than enough to please any gore fans. The climax is amazing and the build up and chase scenes are fantastic. Wrong Turn is terrifying, and really is horror at it's scariest and best. |
