I don't see many woody converts coming from this movie. I fear the Jason Biggs fan club will see it and hate it... Ricci fans may enjoy it because she does more movies along these lines. I know I'm biased (i've been an obsessive woody allen fan for years), But it is his best since Deconstructing Harry. For those woody fans, it's kinda in the midrange (one extreme being woody's goofy comedies like bananas and the other extreme being his "think pieces" like interiors). I enjoyed the movie and would recommend it highly. My only *complaint* is i always hate seeing another actor take on woody's character (although it is toned down w/ biggs). it really irked me watching celebrity... i kept wishing woody would just step in and finish the part ;) |
