Sam Jackson deliver's again ,as no one else can, as Hondo the veteran "old school" swat sargent selected to train a ragtag team of fresh swat officers. Along with Colin Farrell, Michelle Rodriguez, and LL Cool J this movie was anything but slow. Farrel plays Jim Street, a badass swat officer who is pulled off the team after a bad judgement call. When Hondo offers Street a second chance he jumps at it and proves himself immediately. Farrell did excellent with this character and lived up to the swat image. Rodriguez plays Chris Sanchez, a hardcore female officer hungry to be part of the swat team. After several unsucessful attempts, due to her gender, she is finally given her chance at the invatation of Hondo(Sam Jackson). For you Rodriguez fans, this is her best role yet and you will not be disappointed. And finally LL Cool J plays Deacon Kaye, a young officer looking for something other than patrol. He quckly jumps on the opportunity to join Hondo's new team when offered. LL did great with this role, although he could have had a larger part of the film. Nonetheless it was a great film! A must see on the big screen! The movie was right on with a real swat team although the plot became a little far fetched. But it's a movie, what do expect! This is by far the best action movie of the summer! I recommend this film to everyone out there! Get up now and go see this movie! You will enjoy! Peace out! |
