...but for those of us who grew up watching the old series on TV....disappointing. I think they took a great concept and ran with what they thought would appeal to all. My kids (11,9, 7 and 6) LOVED IT. The visuals are great, although I thought the race scenes were way over the top and a bit overdone.
I thought John Goodman made a perfect POPS, he looked like the old character on TV. The acting wasn't all that great, but for kids who love fast paced car movies, this one will do it.
I hope when they do the sequel, they tone it down and make it more believable. The cars looked really cool! |
