Ray Bradbury is a great science fiction writer, and I happen to LOVE his story the Sound of Thunder. But this movie was absolutely a miserable waste of time. This has to be one of the worst screenplays of any moderate to high budget film this decade, and hands down the worst special effects. It was almost like watching that recurring skit on Mad TV (Amazon Princesses or something like that) that makes fun of B-movie special effects and bad acting. It looks like most professional reviewers have given it a D or worse (that's VERY rare). One exception is Roger Ebert! Mr. Ebert, I've lost faith in you! You've become less callous in your old age. And who in their right mind (yahoo people) would give this movie an A?!!!! Probably those who stand to profit from the movie... Don't EVEN wait for the video. |
