Roger Avary's brilliant adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis's novel, "The Rules of Attraction" is a wickedly funny, beautifully photographed and splendidly acted dramedy in which there is not one likable character. Some have said this is not a good thing, which, in a different movie, it wouldn't be, but here it fits perfectly. I have never seen characters quite like these, and I wanted more and more of them as the film progressed. From me, it gets a big thumbs up! |
