The Rules of Attraction is brilliant in so many ways. Its a dark comedy, with style we havnt seen used corectly in years. Writter/Director Roger Avary gives the audience a visual masterpiece along with brilliant acting, a twisted and funny story, and an overall dark atmostphere. Critics didnt like this one cuz "it was too dark." Well what i say to that is that some of the best films of all time are dark. Taxi Driver, Godfather, Shining, all dark. And for them to give this piece of art low reviews. ***** THEM. Have we really forgotten what the cinema is about. Its about art, not about how happy something is. Dont listen to any critics and do yourself a favor by renting this one. |
